Saturday, September 8th promises a dazzling conclusion to Style Week Orange County with the Finale Fashion Show and Cadillac: Couture Design Competition happening at Fashion Island, beginning at 7pm.
The fashion finale gets glitzy in the Neiman Marcus – Bloomingdale’s Courtyard with a runway show featuring cocktail and special occasion attire from the experts in their field: Neiman Marcus, Rebecca Taylor, Vince, and many more!
The show, while providing some serious aesthetic appeal, is also philanthropic as it benefits FIDM Museum Fashion Council, specifically the planned acquisition of the Helen Larson Historic Fashion Collection – 1,000 pieces of historical garments dating from 1600 to 1950. This collection has helped to establish the academic study of fashion history and would be impossible to recreate today.
In addition to watching the latest in couture walk down the runway, and knowing your attendance is helping a fashionable cause, attendees will also get to experience the Cadillac: Couture Design Competition. This show will take your love of innovative fashion from 0 to 60 in no time with eveningwear looks, designed by FIDM students, which also incorporate real Cadillac car parts into the designs.
Tickets are $50 and are available at FIDMmuseumshop.org. Guests must be 21 and over. Seating is limited.
